Crosswalk Past, Present, and Future!

Behind every face is a story waiting to be told. For the kids we work with, the stories are often not easy to hear, but we also realize that the healing process begins with having someone listen. Please join us Friday evening, November 4th, for the 20-year reunion concert celebration as we share some of these stories along with songs and skits from the past, present, and future of Crosswalk.

Sometimes the stories surprise us. I met a young man a few weeks ago whose last name was Rich. He had not talked much as I sat at his table along with 2 other guys from his unit, but as staff lined them up to leave, he called me over to give me a prayer request. In the process he began to share his story. We talked about his future goals of finishing school and owning his own business, and then he ended by making it a point to tell me his last name. “You know what that means, right?” he asked me. “What?” I asked, assuming that his answer would have something to do with money. What a blessing it was when he replied, “R.I.C.H. = Resting In Christ’s Hands.” Every kid has a story. Don’t miss the chance to hear more on November 4th at 6:00 p.m. at McDonough Christian Church.
