| Music is one
of the most powerful communication vehicles in our
world today. In many ways it shapes the youth
culture and often defines a teenager's identity. In
breaking down the walls of resistance and rebellion,
a three-minute song can be more effective than a
twenty-minute sermon. Crosswalk grasped this idea
fifteen years ago when we first began our mission to
take the gospel message to troubled youth. For that
reason, music has always been a vital component of
our ministry.
Bill Ward began writing Christian music over 20
years ago, mainly as an emotional outlet for
himself, and his music has always been at the heart
of Crosswalk's ministry. Songs such as |

"God Almighty" and "Talk to my Father" capture the
essence of the gospel: God's grace will deliver you,
and the Father is waiting for you with open arms.
We have pledged to use
the creative gifts with which God has entrusted us
to present the message of the gospel by whatever
means He empowers us and inspires us by the work of
the Holy Spirit. We believe in doing so,
youth-at-risk will be directed to a more positive
lifestyle and God will give the increase so that
they may come to know him as their Lord and Savior.
"Each one should use whatever gift he has received
to serve others, faithfully administering God's
grace in its various forms." (I Peter 4:10)
