Emily Avery Stump (CW '02, '03, '04,
& '05) has been married to Mark Stump for almost two
years. They have no children yet, but are parents to 3
cats named Krauss, Luna, and Little Cat. Emily is a freelance
graphic designer and window cleaner. She graduated from
Savannah College of Art and Design and still lives in
Savannah. Emily's favorite CW memory is going into some
of the places that had girls and seeing their rough exteriors
melt away as we sang and talked to them about the love
of God. Advice to rookie Crosswalkers: Take a journal
and write down descriptions of kids you meet and dates
and places you met them, because they will write to you
and you want to remember them. Also, be ready for spiritual
battles in preparing and going on the trip, but watch
how God works it out and gets the victory. There were
so many times that we got lost, or separated, or were
late and had to set up in 10 minutes, or had a flat tire
or trailer problems etc. etc.. These things were meant
to deter us from getting to the kids. But every time,
as we pressed onward we found the reward and God was glorified.
You can reach Emily on Facebook. or by email at emilyravery@yahoo.com.
Nikki Hazelrigs Caballero (CW '96, '97,
& '98) will celebrate 7 years of marriage in May.
She and her husband have children: Gabriel is 6, Jackson
4, and Camille is 7 months. Nikki does corporate work
for a personal training company out of her home. She says
something she learned from going on Crosswalk is that
"anything is possible if I quit trying to put God
in a box and let Him do His thing. I never would have
had the courage to participate or thought that I could
help make a difference in someone's life on my own. By
letting God use me how He needed to, I had the privilege
of being part of something bigger than myself, and for
that I am eternally grateful. The people we met on our
trips impacted my life in such a positive way...something
I will hold on to forever." Her advice for future
Crosswalkers: Cherish every moment on the trip (even on
the unbearably hot, sweaty days) and take a genuine interest
in everyone you meet. Be open to the work God wants to
do in you. This trip is just as much about your spiritual
growth as it is leading the lost to Christ. Nikki can
be reached via email at nikki.caballero@yahoo.com.
Elisabeth McWilliams Fuller (CW '98)
has been married to Josh Fuller, her high school sweetheart,
for 7 years as of March 29. They have one son, Knox, who
is 1 1/2. Besides being a stay-at-home mom, she is also
the Executive Director for three local non-profit trade
associations, all in the financial services arena. Elisabeth's
favorite Crosswalk memory is a YDC in Texas where our
program turned into a full out worship session!
Her advice for future team members: Remember that this
trip is not about you and your talent; God has given you
these gifts for you to use for His glory and for the good
of others. Elisabeth can be reached via email at elisa.fuller@gmail.
Thomas Davis (CW '97, '98, '99, 2000,
'01) Thomas and his wife Mary are proud parents of Aubrey
(2) and Owen (5 months). He is currently an assistant
worship pastor for Midway Church in Villa Rica. His favorite
memory of Crosswalk is "writing all of our random
thoughts and sayings on the flat that was set up to separate
the audience and back stage. If was pretty funny to read
the stuff from year to year and remember where we were
and what we were doing. Such good times. I will never
forget what God did in my life during those summers and,
no doubt, what he did in the lives of all the people we
ministered to." Thomas' advice for rookies on Crosswalk
is to never lose sight of the fact that those who are
incarcerated are not any different that you or I. We all
have sinned and in God's eyes we are all very much the
same. There is little that separates us. God is all about
redemptions and forgiveness! Love loud and show acceptance
and forgiveness with abandon. God bless you guys! You
can reach Thomas at tdavis.mail@gmail.com.
